A Step Of Commitment
Becoming a member at Canyon View Assembly is a meaningful step — a commitment to grow in your walk with Christ and to become part of a church family that loves, serves, and worships together. Membership isn't just a title; it's choosing to belong, to grow, and to walk in faith alongside others.
According to our church constitution and Assemblies of God guidelines, membership is open to those who have experienced salvation through Jesus Christ, been baptized by immersion, and are living a consistent Christian life. We ask each member to affirm our core beliefs and commit to supporting the ministry through faithful participation, service, and giving as God enables.
As part of the process, you may be invited to share your testimony — your story of salvation and your desire to follow Christ. We encourage you to prayerfully consider this step as you seek to grow deeper in your faith and connection to the body of Christ.

Growing And Serving Together
Membership at CVA is lived out week to week: worshiping together on Sunday, joining a midweek study or group, serving in a ministry that fits your gifts, and giving as God enables.

What Scripture Says
Members Of One Body
Church membership is a biblical expression of belonging to the body of Christ and committing to spiritual growth within a local church. Scripture teaches that believers are not meant to walk alone, but to be connected, encouraged, and built up together (Hebrews 10:24–25; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27).
Through membership, we commit to worshiping together, growing in our faith, serving others, and sharing the love of Christ in our community. We are called to love God wholeheartedly (Mark 12:30), to love one another (John 13:34–35), and to use our gifts to build up the church (1 Peter 4:10).
The Assemblies of God emphasizes a Spirit-filled life marked by discipleship, service, and participation in the mission of the church. Membership reflects a willingness to live out these values: to grow in Christ, support the church, and take an active role in advancing the Gospel.
